Positive Feedback

It is always nice to receive a letter from a happy family with the work we have done and being able to provide them with a home they love.

Andrews Letter

People do not always go ahead with a project, but it is great to have positive feedback on how we are with potential clients and that they appreciate the time we put in.

Thank you

How to get an accurate quote from a builder

Asking a builder to give you a quote for a future project can be as simple as that or it can be the most frustrating exercise of all. It really depends on who you ask and what information you give. Here are a few simple tips.

  • Seek out licenced builders that have been recommended.
  • Do your homework and know what it is that you want and have a budget in mind.
  • Dedicate time to them when they arrive and have all decision makers present.
  • If getting more than one quote give the same information to each builder.
  • Do not give half of the information. Wait until you have a complete package to hand over.
  • Ask for a mutually agreed  appointment in the future when the quote will be delivered or sent.
  • Give an accurate estimate of your preferred start date.
  • Avoid drip feeding the builder with extra information. It is better to wait for the quote and have extra requirements added after.
  • Quoting takes time so acknowledge the quote weather you accept it or not.
  • Whoever you select, make sure that the works are well documented. There is no such thing as a silly question.

Dual Occupancy Brighton East

One of Blint Design + Construction’s dual occupancy projects is close to reaching the upper storey lock-up stage.

With this project the clients have decided to design one of the townhouses to suit their individual needs for the future, including the addition of a lift.

A dual occupancy project is a great option as you can design one home to live in and another as an investment property.

Upper Storey Extension Brighton East Lock-Up Stage

Currently one of Blint Design + Construction’s projects in Brighton East consisting of an Upper Storey Extension is at lock-up stage. This is the stage where all external wall cladding and roof covering is fixed, the flooring is laid and external doors and external windows are fixed.

The owners have chosen to keep the front facade of the Californian Bungalow and modernise the rear of the home

Internally we are getting close to fixing stage and it is starting to resemble more of a home rather than a construction site.

In our previous post we talked about Architectural 3D Rendering and the benefit of clients being able to visualise the end result before construction begins. The below image compares the 3D rendering image to the current stage of works

State of The Art House Design and Construction at Beaumaris

With only six weeks to go to complete the construction of these townhouses at Olinda Avenue, Beaumaris, the owner is very excited.  Builders Blint Design + Construction are at fixing stage now with joinery going in and tiling begun.

olinda av beaumaris  These outstanding buildings have been designed to the owner’s requirements and specifications and the owner will be living in one townhouse, whilst selling the other.  The internal fit-out is the result of state of the art building design from Blint’s house design team , showing much creativity and imagination whilst the realisation of the House Designers’ vision has been brought to life by Blint’s experienced construction team.

Both townhouses enjoy enormous spaciousness with plenty of light pouring into the internal spaces , making them perfect homes for entertainment.  The Designers worked closely with the owner to bring the original vision to fruition and ensure all the owner’s needs were met.

Blint Design + Construction began with an initial meeting with their client to find out what he was looking for, what his vision was for the new townhouses and any particular specifications he wanted.  The House Designers then went to work to create an imaginative and cutting edge design, based on the client’s input and requirements.  Once the client had signed off on the design, after further consultation with the Blint House Designer, Blint Design + Construction took care of all lodgements of plans and followed through with the approval process.  Once building permits were granted a Construction Supervisor contacted the owner and liaised with him throughout the construction phase.  Two beautifully designed and built townhouses and one very happy owner is about to be realised.  Call (03) 9576 8686 to speak to a House Designer about your new townhouse, apartment or house.
