State of The Art House Design and Construction at Beaumaris

With only six weeks to go to complete the construction of these townhouses at Olinda Avenue, Beaumaris, the owner is very excited.  Builders Blint Design + Construction are at fixing stage now with joinery going in and tiling begun.

olinda av beaumaris  These outstanding buildings have been designed to the owner’s requirements and specifications and the owner will be living in one townhouse, whilst selling the other.  The internal fit-out is the result of state of the art building design from Blint’s house design team , showing much creativity and imagination whilst the realisation of the House Designers’ vision has been brought to life by Blint’s experienced construction team.

Both townhouses enjoy enormous spaciousness with plenty of light pouring into the internal spaces , making them perfect homes for entertainment.  The Designers worked closely with the owner to bring the original vision to fruition and ensure all the owner’s needs were met.

Home Renovation in Melbourne Bayside Appears in Home Design+ Living

A renovation undertaken by Blint Design & Construction in the Melbourne Bayside area  was featured in Home Design + Living September 2011 edition. See the original Case Study below –

What are the core features of the home?
Three separate living areas, open plan living, huge entertaining area, media centre, outdoor entertaining areas, 3 car garage.

What makes the property stand out from the crowd?
The original Californian Bungalow façade was retained, but the interior has been renovated to create a large, spacious living area in a contemporary design with a media centre, modern kitchen with concealed appliances and a self contained apartment within the house.

What was the brief provided by the clients?
To create more space to accommodate children growing older and staying at home longer and a senior family member moving into the family home. The client wanted to adapt the home to meet the family’s changing needs, rather than sell up and move.

How did you achieve this?
The Designer took a lead from European Designers, who believe that you no longer designate rooms as a bedroom or living space, but build the space so it can be adapted to different needs as family circumstances change. The home was built so it can adapt and grow with the family. The Designer measured up the existing furniture to ensure the space designed would accommodate the family’s treasured possessions. The clients were very involved throughout the design process and their specific needs were met as a result of this interaction.

Who was the designer/builder?
Blint Design + Construction were the builders and designers for the renovation.  One of their very experienced Designers, Tim Roberts worked with the client to create a design that met the brief and delivered many environmental extras. Tim is a registered Draftsperson but spent many years as a Building Supervisor in Sydney; 95% of the works he completed there were high end renovations. Tim  decided to move into design to have more control over the end result, and ensure clients were satisfied. Blint Design + Construction are well regarded in the Bayside suburbs and surrounds for their excellent design, construction and project management.

How has the design utilized the space?
The front three rooms were retained and fully renovated, then over 200m2 of extra living space was added upstairs and at ground level, with an extra 100m2 of outdoor living space.
